Trio Fortuny — 10è aniversari

THE SOUND OF A JOURNEY — Trio Fortuny makes its debut at the Perelada Festival to mark the group's tenth anniversary, having established itself as one of the most solid and distinctive ensembles of its generation. Formed by Joel Bardolet, Pau Codina, and Marc Heredia, the trio has developed a unique musical language that combines rigour, complicity, and a fresh perspective on the repertoire. The programme traces a broad journey through the history of the piano trio, from the expressive intensity of Ludwig van Beethoven and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky to the emotional depth of Franz Schubert and the early tension of Dmitri Shostakovich, via the delicate writing of Mel Bonis. A repertoire that highlights the timbral richness and capacity for dialogue of an ensemble that, over time, has evolved between intimacy and sonic expansion. In this context, the concert also incorporates contemporary creation with the premiere of Ronde, a work by Francesc Prat, in a gesture that reinforces the trio's bond with the music of our time and with the creators in their milieu. The presence of Judit Neddermann, who takes part in two popular song pieces linked to a new project currently in development, introduces a vocal dimension that expands the boundaries of the format and opens the programme to other sensibilities. Beyond the celebration, this concert stands as an affirmation of the present: that of a new generation of musicians who have naturally found their place on today's scene, combining interpretative excellence and a clear desire to forge their own voice.
