Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra — Novena de Beethoven & The Wound-Dresser

The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and Jaap van Zweden present John Adams's The Wound-Dresser (1988), a delicate, intimate setting of Walt Whitman's poem written after tending the wounded in the American Civil War, with baritone Matthias Goerne as soloist. The second half brings Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 'Choral' with Easo Abesbatza and a vocal quartet featuring Gloria Jieun Choi, Ah-Kyung Lee, Jihoon Son and Goerne himself.
