Él. De las tinieblas a la luz

World premiere of the chamber opera «Él. De las tinieblas a la luz», with music by Laura Vega and libretto and stage direction by Rita Cosentino, based on the autobiographical novel of the same name (1926) by Mercedes Pinto. It traces the protagonist's emotional journey from an idealised relationship into abuse and terror, ultimately reaching liberation. Performed by Cristina Faus, Manuel Gómez Ruiz, Teresa del Olmo and Aarón Martín, with the Ensemble Sinfónica de Rivas Alma Mahler under conductor Martín Jorge. Commissioned by the CajaCanarias Foundation and the LittleOpera Zamora Festival, co-produced with the Teatro Solís in Montevideo, coinciding with the centenary of the novel's publication and the 50th anniversary of Mercedes Pinto's death.
